“Spoke to soon”… š¦
Over the weekend we sold out of a few cigarette lines, but was it worth a trip to the local Booker Cash & Carry…

If it’s an excuse for a ride in The Boogie, hell yes, I’ll go! š

Two cases of Heineken, two bottles of Champagne, a couple of other spirits, a bag of cigarettes, and a few case of chocolates behind the passenger seat…
I was nearly home (< 4 miles of a 28 mile journey) when I thought a rather noisy / revvy motorbike was behind me, when I looked around I realised it was The Boogie?! The clutch had gone and it was over-revving and overheating š¦
So I limped into the next layby…

I rang the RAC and settled down on the grass verge to await recovery… I couldn’t possibly phone my friends at LNS Recovery (at the end of my road) again could I?

The sun was shining… as this Traffic Officer passed me?!
After an hour or so I got a message from the RAC to say they had passed the job to a local recovery firm to rescue me… Please, No?!

Sure enough, here’s Ken from LNS to pick me up once again…

… and drag me onto the same recovery truck as last week?!
Oh the shame of it! š¦
How we laughed…!

Safely onboard for the short journey home…

And once again the indignity of being dropped off outside my home and our shop next door…
Hopefully the engine survived and it’s “just” the clutch that needs changing… ironically there’s one sat on my work bench ready to be fitted! Time to learn how to swap a clutch then? š¦
To be continued…
